Home Android Phones How to Hard Reset Motorola Droid Maxx

How to Hard Reset Motorola Droid Maxx

When you need to resell your Motorola Droid Maxx to another user, of course you will not want to reveal any of your personal information/ your email account or any settings on the device to them. So instead of manually do all the settings one by one, all you have to do is just a hard reset to wipe all those data away.

Noted that, because doing a factory/ hard/ master reset on your phone will delete all the apps you installed and your data settings completely, so remember to back up any important data before performing a hard reset just in case you still need to use it later.

Option 1: Using Settings menu. This applies for cases when you still can access the Settings app.

1. Go back to one of the Droid Maxx’s Home screens.

2. Tap the Apps icon at the bottom.

3. Now, open the Settings app from the Apps tab.

4. Next, tap Backup & reset.

5. Then choose Factory data reset.

6. Hit Reset phone.

7. You may be prompted to provide the current passcode or draw your unlock pattern. Do as the screen tells.

8. After that, press on Erase everything.

9. Now, just wait for some minutes for the factory data reset and reboot processes to finish.

Option 2: Using Hardware Key. This applies for conditions when you cannot access the Settings Menu due to the tablet being frozen.
