To add an additional security layer to your new iPad 3 device, you should Lock or change the default SIM PIN on your tablet.

In this tutorial we will show you how you can the SIM, whether it's your first time or you simply just wanting to change an existing iPad SIM PIN.

1. Press the Home key.

2. Tap on Settings .

3. Choose Cellular Data.

4. Select SIM PIN.

5. Here you will have the change to lock the SIM with a PIN or change an existing.

Note: Some carrier may lock your device SIM PIN by default, and you they to ask your network provider for the SIM PIN. For example AT&T uses 1111 as their default PIN.

Some carrier uses the last 4 digit of the PUK code as the SIM PIN.
